For more than 30 years, Michael Hatch has dedicated his career to helping professionals, closely held business owners, and families navigate complex financial landscapes with skill and care. As a Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor at Sequoia Financial Group, Michael specializes in crafting sophisticated strategies that address estate planning, multigenerational wealth transfer, and philanthropic giving. His unique combination of legal training and financial planning knowledge allows him to guide clients through intricate tax and estate matters while keeping their broader life goals at the center of every decision. Whether building lasting legacies for future generations, making a meaningful charitable impact in your community, or settling the estate of a loved one, Michael’s background helps him bring a holistic approach to multilayered issues.

Michael’s educational foundation is as comprehensive as his approach to wealth management. He earned his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1999 with an emphasis in tax and estate planning, and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which he received in 1993. His extensive training in charitable gift planning and philanthropy enables him to help clients align their financial resources with their deepest values. Michael’s insights have been featured in medical periodicals including Ophthalmology Today and Cataract & Reflective Surgery, and he has been quoted in publications such as the Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times. He has shared his knowledge with audiences ranging from the National Financial Planning Association to local CPA societies and television stations including KCAL and KNBC. He is passionate about helping others in his communities and has served in numerous leadership capacities assisting non-profits of all types with strategic planning and fund development.
