As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Joe is responsible for setting the firm’s operational and financial strategy. He partners closely with the President and senior leadership team to ensure the firm’s services are delivered with efficiency and at scale. In his role, Joe has direct oversight over Sequoia Investment Research, Investment Operations, Client Service, Technology, Finance, Strategic Initiatives, and Organizational Development teams, to align infrastructure, processes, and resources in support of Sequoia’s brand commitment to a consistent, high-quality Built for You client and team member experience.

Joe brings nearly 14 years in global strategy, governance, and transformation for a leading investment bank along with nine years as a strategy and management consultant to his role at Sequoia. He has a passion for problem solving and a steadfast commitment to guiding initiatives from design through delivery. His work is centered on supporting Sequoia’s continued expansion while maintaining a stable, durable operating model.

Joe has completed executive education in organizational leadership at London Business School and in technology, strategy, and management at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Case Western Reserve University.

Joe makes his home in Avon, Ohio, with his wife and son. Outside of work, he enjoys long distance running, travel, and civic engagement.
