About Cindy

A financial advisor with more than 30 years of experience, and co-author of the book “The Special Needs Planning Guide,” Cindy specializes in creating personalized, comprehensive financial plans that support families who have loved ones with special needs in pursuing their goals. For Cindy, this work is deeply personal, as her brother has special needs and she understands, firsthand, the complexity of financial planning for two generations.

Cindy partners with families across the wealth continuum to address the unique financial, emotional, and legal ramifications of blending traditional financial planning goals with having a child or family member with special needs. Cindy listens carefully to each family’s core beliefs and works with Sequoia’s extensive team of specialists to develop a wealth management plan that integrates investment, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, philanthropic planning, and risk management strategies to support clients in achieving their long-term goals. Throughout it all, she upholds a steadfast commitment to take the worry out of the complex lives of her clients.

Cindy holds a degree in finance and economics from Simmons University. She’s a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) and a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®). In addition, she is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Academy of Special Needs Planners. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of understanding the interconnected and highly personal aspects of special needs financial planning.

As a native New Englander, Cindy loves spending time outdoors enjoying all four seasons. She is passionate about the arts and is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves cooking at home and discovering great restaurants. In addition to serving her church and local community, she volunteers with nonprofits that serve or advocate for people with disabilities.

CFP Board owns the marks CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and CFP® in the U.S.
