What is Launch Day?
Launch Day is a dynamic onboarding event designed to immerse new Sequoia team members in our unique culture and operations.
It's a 2 day experience where you'll meet key leaders, learn about different departments, and understand how your role fits into the bigger picture. You'll participate in interactive sessions, gain insights into what makes Sequoia special, and build connections with colleagues from various teams.
By the end of Launch Day, you'll feel more confident navigating the organization, have a clearer understanding of our values, and be equipped with the knowledge to excel in your new role.
It's not just an orientation - it's your official welcome to the Sequoia team and the start of your journey with us.

Book Your Stay
We encourage our out-of-state team members to stay at the Residence Inn. The firm will cover the cost of your stay. Simply place the reservation on your company card and process it with your Expense Report using the instructions on pages 23-25 in the Team Member Handbook. Please contact your manager with any questions regarding booking a hotel room.

Guide
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements (hotel, flights, uber, etc). You should book as if it were personal travel and expense it to concur. If you do not have a company credit card or do not feel comfortable booking using your personal card, please talk to your manager and use their corporate credit card.
Please refer to the team member handbook (starting on page 23) for guidelines on travel and expenses. Feel free to coordinate with other new hires in your office attending launch day to consolidate Uber/rental cars.

Travel Information
If you live in Ohio, please plan to drive/carpool to Launch Day
Please plan to add the travel to your Concur Expense Report for mileage reimbursement.
Search “Concur Basics” in Trailheads for Instructions on how to use Concur for travel expenses.
If you live in any of our other geographies, you are responsible to book your own flight.
Launch day will start on Tuesday, November 5th at 1:30pm in the Akron office followed by an optional launch day happy hour at 4:00 PM in the Akron Office Cafe.
Launch Day ends at 3:00 pm on November 6th the following day. Please do not plan a flight that will necessitate an early departure.
