Spencer plays a key role in shaping Sequoia’s corporate development strategy and supporting the firm’s continued growth. Working closely with the M&A team, he helps identify prospective merger candidates and conducts the related analysis. His work supports clear, data-driven insights that guide decision-making from initial sourcing through closing.

Prior to joining Sequoia, Spencer spent time on a number of audit teams with focuses on financial services, venture capital, private equity, and real estate. He is energized by the momentum of today’s expanding M&A landscape, particularly its demand for thoughtful strategy both before and after a transaction. He values the opportunity to engage with new people, learn from diverse perspectives, and support firms in navigating transformational change.

Outside of work, Spencer is an avid golfer with a long-term goal of playing all top 100 public courses in the U.S. He enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Delanie, and his German Shepherd mix, Arrow.
