Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Economics from Villanova University.  He was awarded the CFA designation in 2009 and is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

Prior to joining Sequoia, Michael was a Vice President in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs where he advised wealthy families, foundations, and endowments.  Before joining Goldman, Michael worked in the Mortgage Finance industry at Nomura Credit and Capital and at start-up hedge fund Arbor Residential Mortgage where he was responsible for risk management and Residential Mortgage Loan trading.  Michael began his career with PriceWaterhouse Coopers providing litigation support and financial advisory services to multinational corporations. Michael has served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Development Committee for the Catholic Partnership Schools in Camden, NJ.  He also served on the Planned Giving and Endowment Advisory Committee for the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA.

Michael lives in Mount Laurel, NJ, with his wife, Laura, and two sons, Matthew and Danny.
