Michael Kelley

Vice President, Associate Advisor Group Lead

About Michael

Michael brings more than 15 years of experience serving high-net-worth individuals, families, executives, entrepreneurs, and professional athletes navigating the complex financial decisions that accompany significant wealth. Working through Sequoia Sentinel Family Office, he develops integrated strategies designed to help clients grow and transfer wealth across generations, coordinating closely with attorneys, accountants, and other trusted professionals to ensure every aspect of a client’s financial life is aligned with their long-term goals. His work spans private markets, wealth and estate planning, lending and liquidity, philanthropy, family governance, real estate, and private aviation.

In addition to his work with clients, Michael plays an active role in mentoring and developing advisors across Sentinel as Associate Advisor Group Lead, helping cultivate the next generation of client-facing talent.

Prior to joining Sequoia, Michael worked with professional sports agents in New York and Miami, helping elite athletes navigate contract negotiations, endorsement opportunities, business ventures, and broader wealth management considerations. He later transitioned into a financial advisory role serving individuals and families on investment and wealth planning strategies. Those experiences continue to shape his approach to serving clients with complex financial needs.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and following the Yankees, Knicks, Giants, and Rangers. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Kakos School of Arts & Sciences at Manhattan University and the boards of the 1Train Collective – Manhattan Men’s Basketball NIL Collective, and the Ronnie Stanley Foundation. He also supports the National Marrow Donor Program as a previous stem cell match and is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society for economics.
