AKRON, Ohio – Trevor Chuna, Managing Director of Wealth Planning at Sequoia Financial Group, LLC (Sequoia), was awarded with the Greater Akron Chamber’s 30 for the Future Award for 2017. The award, now in its eleventh year, honors young professionals (age 25-39) whose stellar contributions impact their industries and the Greater Akron Region.
Chuna joined Sequoia in 2007 and oversees the firms Wealth Planning Department and is responsible for driving strategy with industry focused technology. He conducts interactive planning with clients while also working closely with the firm’s lead planners on technical details.
In addition to earning the designations of Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) and Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®), he is also founder of the Wealth Planning Forum, a member of the National Association of Estate Planner & Council (NAEPC) and a member of the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) Nomination Committee. Chuna graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in finance from the University of Akron and went on to earn his Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College. He volunteers his time with several local organizations including Montrose Zion United Methodist Church and Goodwill Industries of Akron, where he serves on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee.
